Gruene Hall, Lone Star Music & Emory Quinn

I had such a great Christmas with all of my family and friends this past weekend and I didn't want to lose the holiday spirit feeling....so we packed up and headed down to Gruene, Texas on Saturday!
It is one of my favorite places in Texas & let me tell you it is even more beautiful at Christmas time. Knowing my passion for music and great antiques, I knew I would not be disappointed in my weekend get away.
With keeping up the tradition I brought my 5 year old daughter, Emma (who is in love with Texas Country Music as much as I am) was packed and ready to go boots and all....
Our first stop in Gruene was the Gristmill to have dinner then it was off to Gruene Hall.
(Dinner was great and the view was even better)
It was her first time in a dance hall and boy was she excited...
Emma was yelling, "Look Mom" it's George Strait on the wall....yea, that was a proud moment!
We walked into the hall & she literally was scootin' across the old wooden dance floor with excitement, she turns around and say, "So Mom...teach me how to dance like you do!"
At this point I knew she was for sure my child and I was so excited and thrilled that she was truly interested in everything down there.
With the live music being played, the mother/daughter duo was making its way around the dance hall...
**Shout out to Emory Quinn who was playing there that night, they did a great job & would love for you to check them out when you get a chance!**
After a hour or two of dancing and making new friends we had to call it a night...but oh cowboy was it an awesome and beautiful night in Gruene. Right before we were heading out of town, we stopped at Lone Star Music to take a peek and see if some our friends Cd's were fully stocked in the store.
Seriously as soon as we walked in, I was very thrilled to see someone buying their CD right then...I immediately had cold chills! I was so excited to witness it happening.
Emma & I grabbed a few Cd's for ourselves and Rock n Rolled Tonight up 35 with the Josh Grider Band....and of course a few others!
peace, love & Texas Country Music
